Guacamole
You can enjoy this traditional guacamole recipe made with avocados that are Just Right. It's a great dip for parties or a tasty way to top your favorite Mexican food.
Ingredients:
- 4 ripe avocados
- 1/2 red onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 ripe tomatoes, diced
- 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
- 1 jalapeo pepper, seeded and minced
- Juice of 2 limes
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
Cut the avocados in half, remove the pit, and scoop the flesh into a bowl
Mash the avocados with a fork or potato masher until you reach your desired level of smoothness
Add the chopped red onion, minced garlic, diced tomatoes, chopped cilantro, and minced jalapeo to the mashed avocados
Mix well
Squeeze the lime juice over the guacamole and stir to combine
Season with salt and pepper to taste
Adjust seasoning as needed
Serve immediately with tortilla chips or as a topping for tacos, nachos, or your favorite Mexican dishes
