Classic Hummus
Savor the traditional, creamy flavor of homemade hummusideal for your summertime get-togethers!
Ingredients:
- 1 15-ounce can chickpeas, drained and rinsed
- 1/4 cup tahini
- 1/4 cup lemon juice
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons water optional, for desired consistency
- Paprika and olive oil for garnish
Instructions:
Put chickpeas, tahini, lemon juice, garlic, olive oil, cumin, salt, and pepper in a food processor and blend them together
Blend until smooth
If you need to, add water to get the consistency you want
Put the food in a bowl to serve, drizzle with olive oil, and sprinkle with paprika
You can eat it with crackers, fresh vegetables, or pita bread
